Ok, I’ll put it out there from the start – I’m not a huge Beatles fan. But you can’t visit Liverpool without seeing all things Beatles and lots of other great sights. And Liverpool certainly changed my thoughts about the Beatles.

Albert Dock
There are so many great eating places and fun sights to see at the Albert Dock. Check out the propeller from the Lusitania, visit a free museum, stop into the Fab 4 gift shop, take your pic with the Fab 4 or buy any flavor croissants from a variety of great bakeries. Plus, the view of the River Mersey is also pretty great.
Don’t forget to take a glance at The Three Graces – The Royal Liver Building, the Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool buildings as you stroll through this area.

The Beatles Experience
We booked tickets to see The Beatles Experience located around the corner from Albert Dock. They give you headphones and a handheld guide that walks you through the experience. They have done a great job immersing you into the lives and locations of The Beatles.

HoHo
We have frequently watched the Hop On Hop Off busses as we stroll through various towns. So today, we decided to do the HoHo bus to get our bearings in Liverpool. It’s a nice experience and it certainly helps with the wear and tear on my hips and knees. We rode the bus for the hour long red route and then headed out on foot.
Walking Around Liverpool
Matthew Street is the home of the original Cavern Club and the gateway to many other attractions in Liverpool. The Wall of Fame, Castle Street, City Hall, Victoria Statue and China Town are all accessible from here.

We only spent a day in Liverpool and we both agreed that a return trip is in our future.
Thanks for sharing!
